Lithuanian universities lack millions
17.11.2008Having passed the amendments on the postponement of payments for studies for half a year to the law on higher education, universities of Lithuania are collapsing – finances for lecturers" salaries are lacking and they are asked to work for free. The Government, which promised to compensate these lacking finances from the state budget, now suggests universities that they should borrow finances from themselves.
